The Great Strike of 1983, or, How a Small Town Lost its Edge
In this short we tell the story of twin events that rocked this small town in Southeast Arizona: a 100 year flood and a miner’s strike. The miners at the Morenci Mine went on strike for fair wages and health care. While they were in the middle of this fight for their rights a flood came through and decimated the town.
